Hello! I'm Sam. When not working as an I.T. monkey, I masquerade as a writer of speculative fiction. I've just completed a masters degree in creative writing and now find myself at the beginning of my writing career.

So what now? Well I'd be lying if I said I write entirely for myself. Yes it's my passion, but I would also like it to become my profession. I want people to read my work. To that end, I plan to do what everyone else does... I'm going to write (a lot) and I'm going to keep sending my work out, until someone decides it's worthy of publication.

During the MA, this blog served as a sometimes diary, ranting post and repository for ideas. Now the course is complete, Sardonic Disconnection will record my achievements (or lack thereof), host articles about the craft of writing and showcase a bit of my own writing too.
